Quarterflash | 7:30 PM
Portland's first 'gold and platinum' band, Quarterflash, was created in 1980 by the husband-wife team of Rindy Ross (lead vocal/saxophone) and Marv Ross (guitar/songwriter) and signed to Geffen Records. Their self-titled debut release in 1981 was awarded, 'Best Debut Album' (Radio Rock Awards) and obtained platinum status in both the U.S. and Canada on the strength of four top-forty songs, including their smash hit,Harden My Heart, which hit #1 Billboard's Rock Chart and #3 on their Pop Chart. For the next 30+ years Quarterflash released 7 albums, 5 MTV videos, and toured internationally including stints with Elton John, Linda Ronstadt, Sammy Hagar, Loverboy, The Beach Boys,The Byrds, Pat Benatar, 3 Dog Night, and Jefferson Starship.

Though the band’s personnel changed over time, the Rosses remained at the helm of the Northwest-based group and continued to perform and record. Quarterflash was inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and the KGON Rock Hall of Fame, and Marv & Rindy received the 'Legends Award' from the Portland Music Association and The Alumni Award of Artistic Excellence from their alma mater, Western Oregon University. Quarterflash songs have been featured extensively on TV, film, and in the hit Broadway musical and movie, ‘Rock of Ages’. Quarterflash is celebrating their long and colorful career by presenting this one-time-only farewell concert at the Alberta Rose ~ the neighborhood movie theater where Marv saw, 'Jailhouse Rock', as a kid. The band's line-up is Doug Fraser/lead guitar, Mel Kubik/keys, Denny Bixby/bass, Gregg Williams/drums, Rindy Ross/lead voc-sax, and Marv Ross/ guitar. more >>>
